Advice... don't mix up the gaskets! The gasket that comes with the lens fits inside the bezel before putting the lens in. It IS NOT for the base of the male threads on the body of the flashlight reflector after unscrewing the bezel, which is a slightly larger gasket. I accidentally put the new o-ring on the male treads and tried to put my old reflector gasket inside the bezel. This prevented me from being able to tighten the bezel all the way in order to focus and fine tune the beam.Now that I figured it out & switched the gaskets back, it is focused down to a very fine bright center beam. Very happy with this purchase now!With the new LED bulb, this glass replacement made a 12 year old duty light factory new.Only issue is it wouldn't work with the provided O ring. I'm using without it.I replaced both lens and bulb with LED bulb and glass lens instead of plastic, and what a difference. 10 times brighter than with light bulb and scratched plastic lens. Wish i did it years ago.Replaced scratched lens. Better clarity.I have two very old school Maglite flashlights that do not compare to the much newer, brighter, much lighter flashlights. But they will not die, built extremely well. So I upgraded the original plastic lens that was stuffed up with these glass ones.I also purchased new LED bulbs. And the Maglites just keep on going.Like durability and brightnessFit my light perfectly a great replacement for the old original cloudy plastic lens.This lens is a perfect fit for a Maglite 2D cell torch. It comes in a plastic tub, well-protected and a spare o-ring is included. Good thickness to the lens and crystal-clear. My only issue is not with the lens but the packaging: the lens is covered in a shrink-wrapped polythene material which was quite difficult to remove. When I did get it off, it had left a sticky residue on the lens. Fortunately, I'm a photographer and had the right stuff to remove it, isopropyl alcohol and a cotton bud, finished off with a polishing cloth.This apart, a great upgrade for a Maglite torch.Extremely happy with upgrade, comes in great packaging including a case you can store you’re old/other lens in and spare o-ring seals for lensNeeded a replacement for original, now cloudy, lens. This one was quickly delivered, fits well and easy to fit. Clearly glass, I cannot say whether it is shatterproof because I'm not going to try! Not 5 stars because it comes with one O-ring which does fit, but in accessing the lenns there are actually 2 O-rings and I would have thought it would have been good to replace both.Absolutely brilliant. It’s a lens and it goes in my Maglite (2 D Cell). It’s crystal clear and it came with a new seal - which I wasn’t expecting so was a huge bonus. Fitted this lens along with a new LED bulb and it’s turned my old Maglite from a hazy candle to a pin sharp miniature sun!! I would highly recommend.Great fit so much more light than my scratched plastic lens, next upgrade LED should put my MAG-LITE back up to my go to torch again.
